Remember to CIPP yourself by following the directions on the web site www.maverickyouthrugby.com under "registration/dues". You must be CIPPed, or registered with USA Rugby in order to play this weekend. We must print this list of paid members and give a copy to the opposing team and referee.

No practice tonight, Thursday 1/28. The Mike Lewis park is closed due to rain.
The Grand Prairie Maverick High School team is combining with Allen to play against Alliance. The game starts at Noon on our home field, Prairie Park. Please show up by 11:00. We will show you how to set up the pitch for the match. This includes putting up flags and goal post pads.
Alliance will play Coppell right after our game.
See you at 11:00 Saturday and don't forget your mouthpiece!
Practice for the 2010 season will officially start on Tuesday, January 12th at 7:00PM at Mike Lewis Park in North Grand Prairie. Practice is every Tuesday and Thursday night from 7:00PM to 9:00PM. The Men are resuming practice following the Holidays on Tuesday, January 5th and all players are more than welcome to come out a week early for a run.
We are in the process of finalizing the schedule which will be posted soon as our season will start the end of January. Check the Registration/Dues link for additional information as well as the Rugby 101 page for some basic info about the game for our new players.

Practice cancelled as GP has all parks closed due to wet fields.
We will continue to practice this week and the rest of March at Mike Lewis Park. We are scheduled to play at Canterbury in DeSoto on March 28th but we are waiting for final confirmation from them as it was tentatively scheduled with their head coach when we were at the Jesuit Tournament.
City has closed all fields today due to rain. We will resume practice on Tuesday, March 17th.
City advised that TXU hasn't gone out to the Park to look at the power yet. We will be making some additional calls tomorrow so we can hopefully get something, anything for Thursday night.
I was told yesterday that the lights were to be turned back on today but the City advised me there have been some issues with getting them back on and TXU is working on it. The City is to update me in the next hour or so after which I will post on the website and send an email no later than 6:00PM so please check prior to heading out.
Was just informed by the City that the lights are still off at Mike Lewis Park and since this is their down season (Dec to Feb) from a field usage perspective there was is not other field for us to use but lights will be back on next week.
We have a match this Saturday against Allen at Allen HS at 2:00PM. I will have the website updated later tonight with directions, etc.
