Fall 7s Series is ON!

The Fall 7s Series is on and we will be putting in teams for the tournaments. Midlothian has a crew of about 10 very good athletes just itching to play. The current part time Maverick ruggers can fill in the gaps with experience and skill to put out an extremely competitive team.

If you are new or are from Midlothian, here's what you need to do. First sign up to email notifications on the web site. There's a "Subscribe" box on the right hand side. Put in your email address.

Next, get CIPP'ed. That is, register with USA Rugby. This will last you through the Spring and Summer seasons. There are instructions under the "Dues/Registration" menu link, on the top right hand side of the site. For ease of paperwork, register under the HS (U19) and Grand Prairie Mavericks High School – RFC (Club). We get none of this money, it all goes to some other governing entities.

After that, show up to the men's practice on Tuesday and Thursdays. If we have enough dudes, we'll hold a separate youth practice. We'll still run some drills with the men though. Good stuff there.

This weekend there will be a tournament in Frisco. Allen will have 2 or 3 teams and Plano will have 2 teams. If you show up you can play with one of those teams. Otherwise, we are shooting for next Saturday 10/23.

Tentative Schedule

• Oct 16 – First weekend of "real" games. Frisco
• Oct 23 – Jesuit probably won't play because of Homecoming
• Oct 30 – San Antonio tourney. Participation optional. Teams that do not travel might play here.
• 11/6 - Play at LCPC?
• 11/13 - Play at LCPC?
• 11/20 - Venue TBD
• 11/27 – Nothing because of Thanksgiving
• 12/4 – Allen wants to host a Tourney
