Currently the Men are running touch every Tuesday and Thursday at Prairie Park from 7:00PM to Dark. This is open to anyone and everyone and not just current players so come on out for a run as we have a good mix of players coming out.

Three of our players, Chris, James and Gabriel as well as a new one of our brand new guys, Giaovani who has been out a few weeks went to the Lone Star Classic Sevens Tournament in Dallas on June 7th and were able to get some playing time with Alliance's second side and Jesuit. Congrats to Chris and Gabriel on scoring their fist tries. There will be other tournaments in the area so if anyone is interested let us know.

The 2008 Awards winners have been posted on the website under the Ruggers of Distinction link. We have run into some problems with getting pictures uploaded to the website and once that is resolved we will have some from the end of the season posted.

Reminder that our Annual End of Season Awards Banquet is this Friday, May 23rd at 7:00PM at Outlaws in Grand Prairie. We need to provide them an estimated head count by tomorrow morning so if you have not given one yet please let Bill (214-2113-5644) know how many will be attneding. Link below has more details. Unfortunately I was unable to line up an opponent to play prior to the Men's Alumni Match so our 15's season is officially over. I would like to thank all the boys who came out and hope that they had a good time learning the game these past 4 months or so. I know that I enjoyed it, especially that win against Alliance at Gateway Park and we are looking forward to next season as we will have just about everyone coming back.

So with 15's over we will turn our focus to playing 7's for those that are interested as it is a great way to stay in shape as well as improve your ball handling and decision making skills. There will be a handful of tournaments in the area so if you are interested in playing let us know. If you are not and still want to get some running in the men will be playing touch rugby every Tuesday and Thursday night from 7:00PM to Dark at Prairie Park and everyone is welcome.

The Awards Banquet is still on for next Friday, May 23rd at Outlaws in Grand Prairie and we need to provide them an estimated head count by the May 21st. So please let John (jwk@nortel.com or 972-824-8818)know whether you will be attending and how many will be in your party.

Starting May 6th we will be playing touch rugby with the Men's side on Tuesday's and Thursday's from 7:00PM to Dark. These practices are optional but they are a great way to keep up with your fitness as well as increasing your ball handling skills.

Also there are a handful of the High School sides in the DFW area as well as the south that want to play Sevens this summer as well as there being some tournaments in Texas that have HS brackets with the first being in Dallas on June 7th. If you are interested in playing let us know.

Plano scored 2 late tries to come away with a 28-19 victory over the Mavericks this past Saturday afternoon at Prairie Park. Check Results Page for a write up of the match.

We are still trying to line up an opponent for one last match for May 17th prior to the Men's Annual Alumni Match.

Kick-off for tomorrow, May 3rd is set for 2:00PM at Prairie Park. All players need to be at the pitch no later than 1:00PM ready to play.

Next match is Saturday, May 3rd against Plano at Prairie Park. Kick-off is scheduled for 2:00PM but that could possibly change as there are some players from each team taking the SAT's earlier in the day.

We are working on lining up one last match for Saturday, May 17th prior to the Men's Annual Alumni match.

Sorry for the late notice but due to other commitments none of the coaches are available tonight so there no practice but we will be back out this Thursday, April 24th.
